DESCRIPTION:As part of the 41st World Congress of the International Associa
 tion for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR)\, which will be
  held in Singapore from June 22 to 27\, the workshop “Nature-based Solut
 ions: Connecting Science and Practice” is scheduled for Wednesday\, June
  25\, 2025\, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM in Room 13.\n\nThe theme of the 2025 
 IAHR Congress\, “Innovative Water Engineering for Sustainable Developmen
 t\,” aims to promote interdisciplinary dialogue\, the exchange of cuttin
 g-edge knowledge\, and the exploration of innovative solutions to tackle t
 he most pressing global water resource management challenges.\n\nIn this c
 ontext\, the workshop will provide an interactive platform focused on NbS 
 (Nature-based Solutions) and their application\, highlighting key factors 
 for successful implementation\, including funding\, governance\, and co-de
 sign processes and stages. Through the analysis of case studies—such as 
 Bishan Park in Singapore\, the Severn Valley\, and Project Groundwater in 
 the United Kingdom—participants will gain deeper insight into the operat
 ional and strategic dynamics behind the planning and execution of these in
 itiatives.\n\nThe session will actively involve participants and offer an 
 opportunity to reflect on the importance of stakeholder engagement\, the d
 esign and development phases of NbS\, and the efforts required to ensure t
 heir effectiveness. It will also serve as a moment to share pioneering exp
 eriences and research\, aiming to strengthen the connection between scient
