From June 3rd to 7th, 2025, Zurich (Switzerland) will host the 27th European Forum on Urban Forestry (EFUF2025), an international event dedicated to urban forest planning and management policies.
The forum, organized by the City of Zurich, ETH Zurich, WSL, Waldlabor Zurich, ArboCityNet, and the Bern University of Applied Sciences, will address the theme “Urban forests for resilient and healthy cities” and explore innovative solutions to promote sustainability and health in urban environments.
The event, which will take place at ETH Zurich, includes discussions, networking opportunities, and two excursion days focused on urban nature.
EFUF2025 will be accompanied by a workshop titled “Increasing biodiversity to promote adaptation and resilience of European Forests by using close-to-nature forestry”, aimed at discussing and assessing integrated forest management approaches to support the development of more resilient and biodiversity-rich forests.
