The Summer School “Coastal-Marine Ecosystems and Climate Change: Chains of Connections and Resilience”, organized by ISPRA (Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) as part of its Postgraduate School in Environmental Disciplines, will take place in Cagliari from September 22 to 26, 2025.

Targeted at recent Master’s graduates, PhD students, and early-career researchers, the school aims to provide a hands-on approach to the sustainable management of coastal areas, while fostering stronger links between academic training and applied environmental research. This initiative also seeks to open new professional opportunities in both public and private sectors.

The program combines lectures, practical workshops, and field visits, focusing on key topics such as coastal-marine environments, climate change impacts, and adaptation strategies.

Participation is free of charge; however, travel, accommodation, and meals are the responsibility of the participants. Applications must be submitted by June 27th, 2025, including a CV and a motivation letter in PDF format.

Selection will be based on the relevance of the applicant’s academic or research background to the school’s topics. Upon completion of the full program, participants will gain access to the ISPRA online platform to download course materials, complete the final assessment, and obtain a certificate of participation.
