“Nature for Sustainable Cities: Planning Cost-Effective and Just Solutions for Urban Issues”

The international conference NATSOLIS explores the relationship between Nature-based Solutions (NBS) and urban and regional planning, assessing both their transformative potential and the challenges they present in different territorial and socio-economic contexts.
It examines contributions related to urban regeneration, climate adaptation, risk mitigation, biodiversity enhancement, and environmental quality improvement, while also addressing issues of spatial justice, unequal access to NBS, and green gentrification.

Call for Papers & Submissions

Authors are invited to submit an abstract (max 200 words) by 15 January 2026 to:
natsolis2026@gmail.com.

After the conference, authors will be invited to submit the full paper for publication in a Scopus-indexed Springer volume.
Additional Special Issues in ISI/Scopus journals will be announced at a later date.

This event represents the final conference of the PRIN 2022 project “Nature for sustainable cities: planning cost-effective and just solutions for urban issues (NATSOLIS)”, funded by the Italian Ministry of Research.
It is jointly organized by the Universities of Catania, Naples “Federico II”, and Salerno.
