Description
The event, titled “Wednesdays in the Park for the Environment,” promotes sustainability, Nature-Based Solutions (NBS), and environmental awareness directly in spaces frequented by citizens. Through knowledge, dialogue, and participation, the initiative aims to encourage cultural and behavioral change from the ground up, highlighting the park as an educational and shared space.
In the context of the current climate emergency, the initiative aims to spread good sustainability practices and responsible consumption models, which are essential for prevention, mitigation, and adaptation to climate change.

Morning Event

At the park’s gazebos, activities will be held to provide environmental information and raise awareness, with the participation of experts, technicians, and sector operators.
Afternoon Event
3:00 PM — 6:00 PM
Fun and educational workshops for children, featuring practical and creative activities designed to educate while entertaining.

Tree World Journey
Did you know that trees can travel… without moving? Some have come from faraway countries and have chosen Palermo as their home! In this workshop, we will take a walk through Villa Trabia’s garden to discover trees of different shapes and fascinating stories. We will observe leaves, barks, and learn to travel like seeds: small, curious, and full of adventures!
Artists for Nature
Nature is full of colors, scents, and shapes… and we will explore it through art! In this workshop, we will use our senses and creativity to touch, observe, and be inspired by plants. With leaves, branches, and imagination, we will create a special herbarium: a personal artist’s book! A fun way to learn about the green world and give form to the emotions it inspires.
