The LAND4CLIMATE Mid-term Forum will take place on 6 October 2025, from 09:30 to 16:00, at RWTH Aachen University in Aachen, Germany. The event will focus on the theme “Upscaling Nature-Based Solutions: Policy and Practice Insights from the NBS4EU project.” Nature-based solutions are a key component in driving the transition toward a more climate-resilient Europe. However, one of the main challenges lies in scaling them up and effectively integrating them into environmental and land-use policies.
This forum will offer a dynamic and participatory opportunity for exchange, designed to share experiences, learn from best practices, and jointly shape new strategies to promote nature-based solutions across Europe. The day will include opening speeches, policy-focused roundtables, thematic exhibitions showcasing concrete examples from leading regions, and interactive dialogue between experts and stakeholders.
Key topics will address funding strategies and supportive policies for NbS, the spatial and land-use challenges associated with implementation, and the evaluation of the effectiveness and impact of nature-based initiatives. The event is aimed at sister projects, policymakers, sector professionals, European stakeholders, and representatives of EU institutions. Registration is open until 15 September 2025.
