Session 19 – Who decides for nature?
Proponents: Luca Battisti, Marta Rodeschini, Geo.Naturae group
Title: Who decides for nature? Non-human actors, financialization, and conflicts in rewilding trajectories
The session welcomes contributions on two main themes:
- How to introduce, represent, and protect nature, particularly the plant world, in planning and environmental policies;
- How funding mechanisms and institutions influence rewilding trajectories and the ability of projects to critically engage with these logics.
Contributions are welcome on: co-planning with more-than-humans; collaborative governance in turbulent times; nature agency; plant geography; plant ethics and rights; human-plant species relationships; Planetary Health approaches; and dynamics of financialization of nature.
Abstracts must be submitted by October 31, 2025, using the following form: Online Form.
