The 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30) will take place from 10–21 November 2025 in Belém, Pará, Brazil, providing a unique platform to discuss global climate solutions, rooted in the heart of the Amazon.
Brazil, as host country, is committed to strengthening multilateralism and fostering consensus on global targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Featured Workshop: Nature-Based Solutions for Resilient and Carbon Neutral Cities
On 12 November 2025 at 15:30 UTC‑3, COP30 will host the workshop
“Nature-Based Solutions for Resilient and Carbon Neutral Cities”, organized by the SUR Lab, Bocconi University,
in collaboration with UN-Habitat and co-coordinated by NbS Italy Hub.
The workshop will focus on the role of Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) in urban adaptation and mitigation strategies, highlighting real experiences from Italian and European cities.
Participants will explore planning tools, innovative financing models, and monitoring systems to measure the environmental, social, and economic benefits of NbS.
The session emphasizes the integration of NbS in urban policies to enhance resilience, sustainability, and quality of life in cities.
The event features the participation of Città Metropolitana di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, Bocconi University,
and other institutional and academic experts, including representatives from the Italian Ministry of Environment (MASE), ISPRA, and UN-Habitat.
