The Nature FIRST Conference, scheduled for June 25th and 26th, 2025 at Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen (The Netherlands), marks the conclusion of the European project Nature FIRST. The event is intended as a meeting point for researchers, professionals, policymakers, and organizations, offering an inclusive space for launching new collaborations, exchanging knowledge, and developing shared strategies for biodiversity conservation. It will be an opportunity to inspire new ideas and synergies in the field of environmental conservation.

Organized in collaboration with Bears in Mind, a Dutch foundation dedicated to bear protection, the conference will take place in the remarkable Het Berenbos, the bear sanctuary located within the zoo.

The Nature FIRST Conference will address key topics related to biodiversity conservation, including environmental monitoring and the use of new technologies for habitat protection. Participants will be able to explore innovative methodologies, join hands-on workshops, initiate new partnerships, and engage in discussions on emerging issues—with the added opportunity to visit the zoo and take part in on-site experiences.

The two-day event will feature interactive activities, exhibition spaces, matchmaking sessions, and moments of strategic dialogue.
