The NbS EduWORLD International Course 2025, part of the NbS EduWORLD Academy, will take place from June 29th to July 4th, 2025, and is aimed at school leaders and primary and secondary school professors, to integrate Nature-Based Solutions into educational settings through a systemic and participatory approach.
The Summer School will be held at the Golden Coast Hotel & Bungalows, located on the beach of Marathon Bay (Greece).
During the course, participants will deepen their understanding of the core concepts of NbS and their educational potential, explore innovative pedagogies, case studies, and teaching resources, and develop an action plan to transform their school into an NbS Living Lab. They will also be introduced to the European sustainability competence framework (GreenComp), take part in peer-learning activities, networking, and the exchange of good practices, as well as discover funding opportunities and transnational cooperation initiatives.
Topics will range from the definition and typologies of NbS according to the EU, to future scenarios and strategies for integrating NbS into the STEAM curriculum (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
The course will conclude with the presentation of the action plans developed by the participants, to promote sustainability, innovating teaching practices, and actively contributing to climate change education.
